Additives for recycling

Greenchemicals has developed innovative solutions to aid the recycling process. the use of stabiliser packages and additives to eliminate the presence of troublesome substances in the polymers to be recycled allows for more efficient recycling, preservation of the polymer and also of the plants where the recycling process takes place.

PRODUCT DETAIL

MB PS HT4

Physical form: MB

PS- EPS

Hydrotalcite-based masterbatch in a polystyrene matrix. Hydrotalcite finds application as inorganic filler and is an excellent acid acceptor and stabilizer. It allows a homogenous dispersion of the active additives in the compound.

MB PS POX 20

Physical form: MB

PS- EPS

It is an antioxidant masterbatch based on a blend of phenolic and phosphite antioxidants supported by a polystyrene matrix. It allows a homogenous dispersion of the active additives in the compound. MB PS POX 20 provides a high thermal stability during processing, it has an excellent thermal resistance and maintains the original mechanical, electrical and color properties of the compound.

MB PS 26P25

Physical form: MB

XPS

It is a masterbatch of UV absorbers in polystyrene matrix, which prevents radical polymer degradation and polymer oxidation during recycling. In addition to antioxidants, MB PS 26P25 containing a UV protection package defends PS from sunlight yellowing.

MB PS DCP STAB

Physical form: MB

EPS

It is a very strong stabilization masterbatch, especially studied for neutralizing DCP residual radicals, which are unavoidably created during recycling extrusion process. Dicumyl peroxide decomposes at 150 °C, while recycling extrusion temperature is much higher. This is the main cause of MFI increase of recycled PS.

GC B671

Physical form: PW; GR, Compacted

EPS

It is a mixture based on phenolic antioxidants. It is particularly suitable as a process synergist and guarantees very high and long-lasting thermal stability.

MB PS HT4

Physical form: MB

PS- EPS

Acid scavanger in PS binder. It reduce significantly the negative effect causad by the hydrogen halides released by FR at hight temperature.
